Janice Nieliwocki

Janice is a cum laude graduate of the University of Scranton where she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services. Janice’s entire professional life has been focused in the field of education. Early in her career, she worked for one of New Jersey’s Regional Education Improvement Centers and New Jersey’s Child Assault Prevention Program. Janice then went on to serve as teacher and then as head teacher for a private pre-school for almost fifteen years, teaching both pre-kindergarten and kindergarten children. While serving in this capacity, Janice was responsible for developing and integrating new and innovative curriculum, as well as developing and fostering improved parent-teacher communication. Janice’s career took a slightly different path when she joined Ronald V. McGuckin and Associates in January 2005. Bringing her practical classroom experience to the field of child care law, Janice now lectures nationally on various child care issues, including curriculum development, school readiness, and theoretical and legal aspects surrounding early childhood education. Janice is a contributing writer for The Child Care Professional Experience, a quarterly online journal for child care providers. Janice has also developed the curriculum program “Learning Stations for the Pre-school Child” which can be presented to staff as an in-service training for use in pre-school classrooms. In addition, Janice received recognition from Pennsylvania Pathways and was awarded the status of “Certified Instructor” (CI-0736000). She is also recognized by NJ as a PINJ Approved Consultant Instructor.
